During the summer, I brought a little journal with me wherever I went (or tried to) and documented the little events that happened each day, quotes that made me think or laugh, or little insights I had.

I looked back on it a couple of days ago, and it made me smile.

I store away items from my childhood. I keep programs and pamphlets. I cut out significant newspaper articles. I write in journals. I take photographs. I believe in preserving memories..

Stuck in the past? Maybe. But you can’t look back on the past if you don’t record the present.. I think I’m gonna start using that traveling journal again..
